My old 340 walboro pump finally bit the dust today. No worry, as I had just ordered a new 255lph and hotwire kit from Gbodyparts back in april. Wired up the hot wire kit, dropped the tank, ripped out old, put in new, back together. Turned the key to on and heard the relay click at the back of the car. Cranked - nothing. Cranked - nothing...nothing....nothing. Tired the stock wiring harness - nothing. Checked all fuses and relays - all systems go. Took it back out thinking I may have gotten the polarity mixed up or something at the pump. Nope everything green all systems go. Except....no systems go dead in the water. I guess....what do you guys recommend instead? I thought Id just get another walboro since the last one was in there over 10 years....figured their quality was the same - if not better. Guess I was wrong.... >_> Anyhoo what do you guys/gals think? -Ben

I was about to install a 255 in mine, now, i dont know? Is there a bad batch of these?

It may appear that there are still some bad 169 pumps from a couple years ago, or maybe a new run? Until we get the numbers off the pump we do not know. If your pump has the f2000169 or something close they had a high failure rate. Other walbro pumps have still been good to my knowledge. It appears that not all of the 169 pumps are bad, just a lot of them.

I have never got a bad one from racetronixs, I would recommend them for a known good walbro 340. Sorry to here you got a 169 also, but it may or may not be a bad one and I would not take that gamble IMHO.

Got it from ll throtte speed on ebay. Sorry for hijacking your thread op. To the op, do you have the same number?

The DW 300 in-tank pump which is also e-85 compatible has a 3 year unconditional warranty. :)

I remember it was like F20000 169 something on my pump as well. I got my pump from Gbody parts in april and just put it in today. Not gonna pull the tank a 3rd time till I get a new pump on its way. Thinking about getting an Aeromotive stealth pump - Ive been hearing good things about those and my brother seems to love his so far in his Z.

Give g-body a call and see if they will do anything to help for a replacement. At least give our vendors a chance to resolve problems.

why screw around ??? Get a new one from Nick (AZ GN):D

Well, Im hopeing that Gbody parts will refund me the money and I can just pay the difference for a deastchwerks pump and then I can just swap em out. Otherwise, I think Im just gonna go with the aeromotive stealth 340lph pump and be done with it.

The DW pump has performed very well
For me so far. And it's quieter than a walbro pump.

Who did you speak to? There shouldn't be a decision. If there is a problem we stand behind it period. We had 1 failure the other day. During that whole wal bro pump failure of years ago we only had 1 & it was from a pump that had been sold years before & not buy our current supplier. Please e-mail me direct so I can contact our supplier & let them contact wal bro direct. Bweavy@aol.com feel free to post. If there is a problem we need to know about it.
