How similar or different are the BRF transmission cases to an average commonly available case?
Reason I ask, I have a BRF with a damaged cross member tab. (One side is broke off at the C/L of the bolt hole and the piece is lost. Most of the hole area is gone.) Would it be a better option to try and replace the case or try and fix it? If fix is the option how difficult would it be since the case is cast aluminum and the perfect fit piece is missing?
All options and information will be appreciated. Thanks

As far as I know all of the 200-4R cases are the same. There might be some different casting numbers but they all interchange.

All BOP/Chev bolt pattern cases are the same from what I know. If you do change cases reintsall your BR tag to keep it's integrity.

Thanks guys.
Seems I have a few options open to me.

ps. Mike, I'm still watching.

the castings went thru 3 minute changes over the years but are all interchangeable.
