Mir will kick his ass all over the ring this time period! I look foward to that.

Youre talking crazier than Margot Kidder on my front lawn.

What's so crazy about it? Mir already beat him once and is a much more experienced MMA fighter especially his BJJ and now he has bulked up so that Crock Lesnar won't have the obvious weight advantage. Losing to Crock only made Mir more determined to come back and beat the dog sh!t out of him. Mir also has better stand up and has proven to have some serious knock out power in both his fights with Noguera and Kongo. Mir has stepped up his game and unless Crock does something different I would not doubt Mir either knocking him out or making him submit like a crying bitch like the first time they fought.:D

Because Brock will take him down with ease and once it hits the ground, Mir is not going to be able to reverse the situation. When someone's laying on top of you, it doesnt matter how much you weigh and unless he's gotten MUCH stronger and can pull off a reversal, which isnt going to happen once Brock gets situated in half guard, he's just going to get his face bashed in again.

I know Brock is green but good wrestlers have a distinct advantage in MMA and Brock has a great base and 2 canned hams for fists.

I agree. I knew the first time I saw Lesnar fight, if he could get his sub defence up to speed he would be unstopable. Mir took a bad beating, even when he pulled off a heel hook in the first fight. He is not going to get that chance again. He was dominated in every possible aspect. Lesnar is just starting MMA and he is already at the top, he is only going to gain more expereince and continue to dominate.
Coture did alot better than Mir with lesnar, but still lost.
I do think Fedor would have a shot, I could see that fight going either way. Fedor always rises to the occasion. At this point Thats the fight I want to see. Other than that your just going to see lesnar continue to beat up people.
I might be a little bias since I am a life long wrestler, but I think some people hate lesnar so bad they refuse to recognise his talent.

JayC is absolutely right. Also, may I add POWER over TECHNIQUE.

Brock is a big wrestler which is why he got his ass kicked in his first fight.

He thought because he was big that he could simply out box or fight his opponent standing up. He then realized by accident more then anything that his weight was his true advantage and the only way he could win is by smothering his opponent. That aint gonna happen this go around.

His size isn't much of an advantage any longer and he simply lacks true fighting skillz and has shown nothing but ground and pound. So what? Take ground and pound away and impliment boxing, kick boxing and submissions and he stands little chance against a world class fighter like Mir.

Mir also has endurance. Brock has not shown any endurance as of yet. Exploit a fighters only skill and he is not long for the UFC. Mir has faught 13 UFC fights. Brock has fought 5.

Not to mention Brock had some recent health issues.

But it is the UFC so anything can happen I guess.

hmmm..

I never seen Brock gassed myself. Brock looked like he just walked into the cage after he beating Randy C and Mir.

Brocks skill set is effective, for now unless he has a lousy camp I unfortunately don't see any of the contenders beating him. Either Carwin or Mir would have a punchers chance, or maybe a sub if he left himself out of position, I just don't see that at this point since his game has evolved. The interesting scenario will be to see if he can continue to evolve his game to keep pace with the up and comers. If not he will have his run like Hugh's and Ortiz, then the competition will figure out how to mitigate his one dimensional game plan. The problem with the wrestlers is because they have a strong MMA base they sometimes can continue to win without having to use a different skill set in the ring they don't evolve. Just ask Diego Sanchez prior to the fight with BJ how far along his striking came along...

Who cares!!!!!!!!!!!

Seeing Brock Lesner fight is worse like watching the NBA now a days. Who really cares to watch a bunch of 7'5" dudes dunk the ball. I want to see Jordan, Scotty, Cartwreight, and Kerr win some Championships again!

I've done plenty of Fight Nights when i was younger and it takes skill to be a real fighter. Brock has no skill. He's just big. Lets see some showing of actuall skill out of these fighters. Way back before UFC was around, my area had many fight nights with people from Militich and other local camp fighting. These guys were skilled and played the fight like a true competition and game. Brock is just the new BIG TALL SKILLLESS NBA.

He's a NCAA division 1 national wrestling champ and you say he has no skill?

this is just like a bunch of bench racing!:D:D brock is a beast and is on top for a reason. mirr is evolving his game to beat brock for a reason. brock isnt the most skilled and diverse fighter but niether was chuck lidel. brock can loose and will eventually just like everyone else. all he has to do is get caught or screw up just like he did in the first mirr fight.

btw brock didnt get his ass kicked the first fight. he lost period but mirr got his face smached in.

With his size, he should be the all time best NFL player, NCAA wrestler, WWF Wrestler, Worlds toughest man winner, Lumber Jack;), Man Who Wrestles With Bulls:biggrin:, etc. Size doesnt mean skill, we have all yet to see any skill out of him. Wait till you have a chance to see this guy in person, he's absolutely an obnoxiously huge beast. But he lacks skill and makes up for it with his size. Exactly why I compare him to today's NBA players. There's no more Spud Webb's winning the dunk contect in the NBA. That takes skill at 5'3".

I would much rather see a well rounded fighter like Mir, woop this dudes a$$. Heck I think it would be fun to see Lesner go up against Anderson Silva. I bet Silva would still woop his a$$.

First of all I am no Brock fan...

-He does have good wrestling skill
-He also has good agility and speed for his size
-How ever his size is his biggest skill / advantage.
Nobody would care about him if he was a smaller fighter.
-Scale him down to 205 and does he beat Machida?...LOL
-Scale him down to 185 and does he beat Silva?...LOL
-Scale him down to 170 and does he beat St. Pierre?... LOL
-Scale him down to 155 and does he beat Penn?... LO fing L

If he weighed the same as Fedor would he even last a round?

He does have legitimate skill but his size is the differentiator.
MMA Size = World Class, MMA Skill = Not there yet.

Ive made alot of money on the Spider Silva but he wouldnt come close to beating Silva. Lesnar has too much much bulk. Mir's only chance is to catch him with a submission which I doubt he will do. Once Lesnar gets him on the ground he will beat him again till the ref stops it.
Mir is very talented submission fighter but Lesnar's wrestling and ground and pound will beat him again.

He hasnt fought anyone Brock's size with a base like Brock's. Randleman and Coleman both have made LHW so if they can cut down that much size they probably are 60#s smaller than Brock and Id wager not near as strong.

Coleman and Randleman both took Fedor down with relative ease. Randleman pretty much suplexed him right through the canvas. Yes, he arm barred both of them but I dont think he could do it to Brock.

Since Fedor is content to sit over in the minor leagues and beat up has beens and never was's, we'll probably never know. Its a shame but at this point, he is more interested in protecting his legacy than fighting top guys.

You should train. you seem to really be well versed in mma. This whole time i thought Fedor subbed kevin randlemen with a shoulder lock called a kimura. thanks to you ive learned that any submission where ur holding ur opponents arm must be an armbar! thanks. I was also under the impression that tim sylvia, andre arlovski and antonio rodrigo nogueira all held belts in the exact same organization that jesus, i mean brock lesnar has. turns out they are minor league guys. Teach me more sensei!

My money is on Brock. All fights end up on the ground.

really? no ones ever got knocked out or submitted standing? and so what if it goes to the ground, do any of you realize how good frank mir is off his back? hes a brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt. hes more then qualified to fight a one dimensional fighter on the ground. mir knows brock will always have the strength advantage but if he can close the gap on that mismatch he, and many other people who actually know a lil bit about the sport feel he can stop lesnar. By the way, all of this is assuming frank mir walks right through a huge threat that is shane carwin.
