Removing broken 8mmX1.25 mm bolt from the exhaust housing. This one was really easy. Usually I have to get the tap out and play games with it. I'd rather spend 15 or 20 minutes removing a broken bolt then having an extractor broken off in the part or attempting to drill it having the drill walk all over the place. Once you get the part clamped down you come down with the mill and just eyeball it and face it off. From there you center the end mill over the broken bolt. We used a .250" and mill which leaves us about .007" room for error on each side. You just line it up so you can barely see the thread as you raise the table. You always go up with the table rather than down with the chuck. So pull the chuck down and raise the table slowly as you cut away the broken fastener. The reason for this is so that when you reach the bottom of the broken bolt it doesn't pull the tool down and break the mill. It can't pull it if it's down as you raise the table. This one came out as a coily wire inside the housings volute because it was a through hole.
