Sometimes there is unfortunate news to report.Over the last 2 and a half years we sold 136 billet reinforced overdrive carriers.I recieved an overdrive carrier back today from a customer that was in a trans behind a twin turbo engine .The billet carrier flange failed at the radius between the splines and bearing pocket.Further inspectionj and rockwell testing shown the part was heat treated to 18 rockwell (as in its raw state),not our usual treatment of 42 to 44.The part failed immediately. The part missed heat treat somehow.Although this is one of 136,we will now rockwell every single flange prior to final assembly. We are continuosly looking to refine our products and will also be adding an even larger radius to the bearing pocket of this great product.

That trans is a nightmare. Damn truck is too heavy for the torque the engine has. Time for a 4l80e.

That sucks but with all the parts being produced things unfortunately are bound to slip through the cracks even though they sometimes shouldnt. I hope they had a rev limiter:eek:
