BS3 and separate 2 step

I use the 2-step in my 7AL and want to adjust it up, but I forget what setting I need to adjust in the BS3. I remember there was one, that maybe needs to be a certain level above the 2-step setting, but havent founbd it yet. For instance, if the 2-step is set to 4500, the setting in the BS3 needs to be 5000. Maybe it was related to logging? Can someone point me to it please?
