BsTC problems

I have the casper splitter with 2 solenoids. Individually I get between 4-5 psi of adjustment. With both hooked up I get between 6-7 psi only. Should I use a larger diameter hose?? Also with the BsTC turned off the boost maxes out. The only way I can keep the boost down is by turning it on. I have checked the wire that you split that goes to the ECM and it seems tight. Anyone have or know where I can get a copy of the install instructions??

BTW, I already downloaded a copy of the instructions from fullthrottletech. I was just wondering if anyone else had the same problem in the past

With dual solenoids you should get a little more range than that. How tight or loose is your wastegate rod ?

when you turn the unit off, the ECM takes over control of the solenoids.

how are the solenoids plumbed? you need free flowing hoses and such in order to get full control.

Loop the compressor hose directly to the wastegate and adjust tension for about 15psi. boost.

Then hook up the dual solenoids and lines in the stock manner.

Should get about 10 psi. MORE boost with the knob so start with it about 1/4 of the way up.

Set the TPS trigger to about 2 volts or so.

Leave the BSTC on all the time with IGN power controlling it.

on my chip the ecm commands full boost (alkychip) so i left the feed from the ecm disconnected so that if ithe Bstc ever got disconnected or got switched off it wouldnt overboost because if it were connected the solenoids would then be commanded full which happens to allow boost to be just a bit more than the when the Bstc gain is at full ,

after playing some more and adjusting my mechanical limit i set the controller up so i i have max boost desired at full gain and set my wastegate mechanicals to my lower boost setting , this way if it is switched off it will revert to lowest and not jump to the highest .
