If you don't like paying for premium fuel you can get a alky injection system and run 89 octane with the boost at the factory setting. However you will be paying the same amount due to the fact that alky is $4 a gallon. I go through about 5 gallons of methanol a summer. So it really wouldn't pay off for me but if you rarely get into the boost you should be fine with a backup of alky when you do.
