There was a very popular news story here about 5 years ago. 3 guys break into a house, and the home owner fatally shoots 1 in the house. and at least 1 while running down the street. The home owner is now facing prison for murder. I don't agree with this. I have to believe that any survivors would be back for more, be it vengeance or whatever. Do the world a favor and eliminate them.

He shoulda dragged the dead guy back into the house and shot him again. That'd solve that problem.
