I know a few guys here have GTOs so I thought I would ask what is a good price to pay for a loaded 06 automatic car---0 miles from the dealer. The car I was lookin at stickered at 33,300. The manager showed me the "invoice" and claimed the invoice is 31k. Now I always thought the rule of thumb is--take 20% off the sticker and try like mad to end up there plus taxes. If thats the case I would be at about 26.5 then the taxes somewhere around 28k. The dealer was giving me 2k in incentives from Pontiac, or 0% financing for 60 moths. That was over a $500 payment with no money down. Thats still too much for me to get away with buyin this car and still sleeping in my bed, so I began thinking, if these cars are just sitting around on the lots collecting dirt, shouldnt they be coming down on price way way below sticker since they are over a year old. Im thinking 25k including taxes should be a fair deal. The bad thing is that I test drove the car and was very impressed considering that it is a bone stock car. Is anyone seeing new 06s at or around 25k?

$26,500 for a new leftover '06 locally here a couple months ago. Tax on top of that too.

29,000

29,000.00 before taxes, for a standard otherwise loaded GTO. The dealer came down to $29,000.00 and I really didn't try! location North Richland Hills, Texas or Fort Worth, TX.

Gary,

Its Denny I was talking to Surge's brother not to long ago and he was talking about fully loaded GTO's going for 25k. Ask Surge see if he knows about it.

I have freinds looking for GTOs too. It seems like the dealers that are at $27-28K are the best pricing. I see used 05s asking $25K. Used 04s are $18-22K. if you want $25K out the door, you might have to wait for a used 06. Good Luck.

I havwe a friend who tunes the new GTO's all the time. He said to offer $25,000 for the 06's and see where you come out. Most go for 26,000 to 26,500. I was looking at one last month and almost pulled the trigger but the wife wanted a Jeep Rubicon so you know what we got.

The dealer I was at had 7 06's in stock, all autos.

Good luck in your hunt

The autos cost more, I've seen them for $27,500. I got mine for $28,455 out the door. Great car, best GM car in years.
You won't be sorry.

Why in the world would anyone that owns a Turbo Regal buy a GTO with an auto  :D

You've already got a great 1/4 mile car with an auto... so what's better than banging the gears on T56 on the street?

BTW, I love my 6 speed, Phantom Black 2006 GTO! I'm sure you'll be happy with any GTO regardless of transmission :D
