After a lot of wasted stainless, we finally got the passenger side mockup done of the headers. This design allows as much room as possible for getting a 3 inch downpipe on the car as well. We're using 2.5" tubing for the manifold and 1.5" tubing for the primaries. The uppipe will V-Band clamp to the manifold.

These are a HUGE flow improvement over stock. Knowing what we're putting on George's car, I think they're going to be very beneficial.

jay, looking good man. the v-band setup is the way to go for sure, i cant wait to see the final product. glad to see people will still make stuff for the hotair cars. what would be really cool is to do a side by side comparison vs the poston or atr headers to see if there is a noticeable increase in power. i almost cut my poston head and put a v-band where it connect to the up-pipe.

There's not really a lot of options for this kind of setup. We could have down a "down and up" style header like the old KBs but that adds a ton of tubing and with the monstrous hair dryer we have to go on this car, we dont need the extra tubing.

what size turbo? keeping the tb is stock location? carbon seal backing plate and seals for the turbo? i one day want to change out my turbo, maybe this year or next year i will log back pressure to see where im at.

Its big :D

Yes stock TB location, mostly. Carbon seal, check :)

right on. i would like to go bigger then what i have one day. but its going 10's with current turbo so not sure how much i will gain

thats alot of nice work going into a hot air. very very cool. awesome job jay!!! how neat would that be to have a new fastest stock loc turbo/tb hot air out there? ;)

all this chit chat about hot air parts makes me want to buy pipe and start experimenting!!!! but where the he!! do i get the flanges for the headers????

john:rolleyes:

RJC has them in stainless. I asked several months ago and had a link posted for me. I'll see if I can find it and PM it to you.
