California guys: Any of you been to Catalina?

I'm looking at heading there this weekend with my GF,

looks like there are a bunch of different lodging options and things to do and check out.

Any recommendations? Hopefully we will leave Friday and stay till Sunday evening.

I dove out there for years and never saw one! I did see a pod of killer whales tear up a few Sea Lions!

There are still alot of Blue Sharks out there and a few Makos! The water down here is too warm for Whites, the best place to see them is to head up the coast past Santa Barbara! I'm not saying they dont come down here, but it is rare!

Nordy's right- they are there a plenty.....water's not too warm, and since sea lions are 'endangered', there's plenty of eats for the man in the grey suit.....

Been sightings along San Onofre by the power plant, out at the islands, off San Diego...you get the picture.
