I'm going to bug you guys to death!! ;)

I have my old cam bearings but not sure of how they were installed.

I am waiting on new cam bearings (back ordered) but I don't remember their facing. There are two notches on the old ones. Do those notches face forward or rearward?

TIA.

Here's the notches I'm talking about.

The KING bearings will not have notches in them. (Dura-Bonds don't anyway) The notches were probably used to easily clock them when building in a production mode. They assemble a Chev 350 short block in about 30-60 SECONDS in the factory, so I would assume that the V6 is even faster. THey use all kinds of locating devices to prevent screw ups during mass production.
BUT........I may be wrong as to the reason for the notches.:)

Dave,

I looked on mine and they are 12:00 and 6:00 with the notch facing the rear of the block..
