Hello wondering if anyone has had this issue? I'm having charging issues with my alternator. Is it possible for my ac compressor pulley to drag because of a possible short in the ac clutch. which then would make my belt drag and not let my alternator charge correctly??
What I do see is when the A.C. is in the off position the front of the clutch still slightly spins and when I see that my alternator coincidently drops volts to around 10.5 to 11v. When put the ac in the on position the clutch engages and spins faster? Once I get on the gas the car starts charging up near 14v but when I come back to idle it drops back down around 11v.
Any ideas or opinions are greatly appreciated. TIA
