I have a "bad computer" with 1GB PC3200 and 2 512K PC3200 memory sticks. The computer I want to put the memory in is a 2.4Gh P4 w/ 1 512K PC2700. Can I put my all my PC3200's in place of the PC2700?

Depends on the motherboard...My last HP with an ASUS board would take either 2700 or 3200..Rule used to be you could go slower than the MB allowed, but not higher..You can always try it..Pull out the 2700 and plop the other ones in, wont hurt anything if it doesnt work...Best bet would be to check out the MB specs or PC manufacturer's site...

Maybe

I have seen some boards that freak out when anything sub spec is installed. Your MB should handle it without issues. If it complains, update the bios to the latest released, if that fails, eBay the sticks and buy some 2700.
