not connected=puck open=no boost..... actually could possibly hurt after time due to extreme rich condition possibly causing cylinder wash down....

Hows it gonna be rich with no signals telling ecm boost to go to PE from the map, maf, etc? Its fine

I've heard it all now lol

If you drive it like that, just don't pull out in front of traffic because you aren't going anywhere. I see in your signature you have an all aluminum engine. Did you get an on or off center ta block?

The turbo tweak chips lock the maf at 255 at WOT so this can happen with a TT chip. With a Bailey chip, or aftermarket ecu running on MAP then it would not as Bailey chip reads air with a translator and aftermarket would see the low boost, but a TT chip would flood the motor with low boost at wot if set for 20psi or more.

it doesnt lock on throttle
you have to reach that value first and keep it above 240 ,
255 takes approx 15psi ... no wastegate no boost no way you'll get the maf rise to even half that

fueling will be maf based and still corrected with 02 sensor(blms)

Good to know. I never tried unhooking my actuator but his website states "locks @ 255 at WOT for consistency" and I took that wrong.

I ran 12.30 with my black car with the wastegate unhooked.

I am am going to make a pass with the wg unhooked this year. It will still make some boost I am sure. I changed a set of headers on a stock turbo car and forgot to put the O2 sensor in. It still made 13psi. I was going to pull the turbo and install the Hooker headers with no turbo plumbing and crank the timing up in the XFI and see what a 9.6:1 ported gn1 274 will do.

Mine made about 13psi@6100rpm. It dropped to 7-8 on the shifts. The wastegate hole was 1.05". 60' in the 2.20's and 117mph

my external does the same with an 8psi spring and the co2 off
while not the same as an open port it is 8psi for most of the gear and climbs to 12 at high rpm
even with a doggie 2.4 60ft because it pushed the gate open early it still managed a mid 11 at 116

That's our 87 octane tune

Well due to unforseen medical problems the aluminum block.build has been put only hold. So all I have right now is a block and crank. Now being I have a turbo tweak chip and my actuater is not hooked up is it possible that that is the reason why when I initially press the throttle that I have 19° of detonation? Being it never did that before but it seems like the detonation started when the half of my actuator rod that connects to my downpipe fell off but I cant be 100% sure as to I didnt know when it had fallen off.

Cheap "Valet Mode" I took it off when I went to the local tire shop to prevent them from beating on the car. I bet the guy driving it is wondering what all the fuss about GNs is all about - car is a total dog w/o boost...
