While I was disassemblying my 2004r, I was about half way through the tranny internals, and Im pretty sure I had the vavle body off by when I found this spring laying on the ground.

I dont know where it came from, its a light spring, not a whole lot of force, kind of dark greenish bluish in color.

Its the smallest spring in the picture, other stuff is just for comparison

Any ideas?

could be the accumulator vavle spring. just put a shift kit in last night. . .

That is the TV blow off spring. It goes on the cotter pin looking thing on the TV linkage.

The other springs look like 3-4 accum springs. The little one maybe went down in the case, then the piston, then the bigger spring.

in the pic above the L end goes underneath the letter A on the bracket where the tv cable goes into correct ? If thats the way it goes is it normal if looking at it from the same angle in the pic above for thre pin to be cocked to the left a little ? Any help is greatly appreciated actually can u install it onto the tranny the way it is in the pic above ? or do you have to insert the spring and stuff while going to mount it on the tranny

Yes, it probably won't look straight.

Yes, assemble it first, then install it.
