Put on an RJC Boost Controller and I can't seem to get the boost I'd like out of it. 1/4" tension on the wastegate rod, RJC halfway in = lazy 15 psi. RJC cranked right down almost tight = lazy 17 psi, with a spike to 22. Controller is new. Car is an 86 T with TE-61 & FMIC, Mease downpipe, 3000 stall.

Any suggestions?

Did you block off the boost solenoid and install the RJC correctly? With the 90* barb going to the wastegate and the other end going to the turbo/vacuum source?

I have mine set up with 1/8" tension, before I cut a coil off it would run around 17psi almost completely unscrewed, just hanging on by a thread or two.

Maybe try backing off the tension in the rod to an 1/8" or less....also make sure there is nothing obstructing the little metal ball bearing from seating.

Maybe someone else can chime in?

Maybe your wastegate puck isnt sealing on the hole in the exhaust housing.
