Is there any way we can find out where and what dealership are cars were originally purchased from? Just kind of curious where my car was originally purchased. Can we also find out how many owner's they have had?

You can find out which dealer it was originally delivered to, but that may not necessarily be where it was first sold. The dealer may have done a dealer trade. To get a copy of the original invoice call Stacy Lillard at GM Media Archive's, 734-421-0273 x107. Or, try George Zapora at GM of Canada, 905-440-7636. The invoice will have the dealer's name on it as well as options, prices, ship date, etc. I went through this as I'm having a window sticker made since the first owner didn't keep it. :(

Very interesting. Never new you COULD get a copy of that! Beings were on this subject, does anyone sell copies of the owners manuals? What manuals all came with the turbo regals? I have nothing with mine so I would like to get them all.

Helm Inc sells the owners manuals... I think their website is helminc.com

Is that all that came with our cars was owners manual and window sticker? THe older carbed cars came with a small turbo booklet and sometimes even a book on the stereo and sound system. Just wanna make sure I get everything when I get it.

There was a warranty book, I'll have to go out to the car to see if I got a radio book I think I remember that, haven't looked at it in years. :p

It's raining a lot right now so....

Also got a pamphlet regarding dealer undercoating, waste of $$$. :frown:

Bill of sale too.

No turbo book in '87.

Yep, the manual, a radio book and a warranty/service book. Sometimes the tire book was there too... If it wasn't raining so much, I could inventory stuff in the trunk of the T-Type parts car I just got! Rain, rain rain.... :(

Let me know what u got as far as t-type parts including manuals u can part with if they're in decent shape. I GUess beings my we-4 didn't come with a radio I probably don't need to worry about a radio manual huh?!!! By the way my car has gray interior.

The turbo part was incorperated into the owners manual on the SFI cars. And there was always the label on the sunvisor that was part of that supplement too. Here are 2 pictures showing what every Regal should have had.
Owners manual
Tire warranty pamplet
Radio guide
Warranty book

The owners manual had a clear plastic storage baggie and fit into the slot of the glove compartment.

david65, how much did it cost you to have window sticker made?

I was going to use this place, they show $30 on their website: http://www.window-sticker.com/index.htm They might be the same ones that made phillyturbosix his a while back. Drop him a PM. I haven't got all my info together to send to these guys yet, so I can't comment on their quality.

I just had a window sticker made by Triple A Enterprises (the link above) for my 1987 Regal T. They did an excellent job. I did supply them a copy of my codes from the trunk and a copy of my invoice from GM Archieves. It cost $30 for one copy. I actually got one copy $30 plus laminated $3 and second paper copy for $10. It took about one week. I highly recommend them.

Hello everyone,

I called GM Oshawa yesterday and tried to arrange delivery of information on my gn. They stated that they are not able to get the invoice on my gn. They only offer the production numbers and rpo codes. No invoice etc.....

Can this be it! Is it possible?

Please email me

Thank you everyone!

Michael

Oops. Maybe I should've been a bit clearer in my earlier post. I got my invoice by calling Stacy at the number above. I forgot they just give you the other stuff at the other place. Sorry. When I talked to her, she said since the records are so old and on microfiche, there are some that are not completely legible. Mine was one of them but I was able to get the info I needed from it anyway. I think she said it could take a couple of weeks or so, but it only took her a day or two. She emailed me a scan of the invoice and also sent a copy via snail-mail.

David :)

I just picked up a 1986 GN here in Hawaii that is missing the service tag in the trunk. I am going to try and get the options via the GM archive, is anyone repreinting the service tag?

Thanks!

Ed
