Changed oilpumpgasket no pressure!

Changed the gasket between oilpump and the housing because it was leaking oil.
When i took of the housing, the gears came out, the one gear is running free and the other is going on the camshaft or the crankshaft i have no idea.
So i changed the gasket and put the gear thats drives the gears at the spot that it was when i screwed it of.

Then i started the car went out to the engine and looked if it there was a leak, no leak.
Went back and checked the pressure, no pressure. So i turned the car off, one second before turnoff it was a yelling sound, wtf could that be?

The oil pump is driven off your cam sensor, the cam sensor is driven off the cam. The oil pump gear has a slot that must be seated properly in the cam sensor. Also when you took the oil pump apart it lost prime and should have been primed prior to starting... Hope you didn't screw the pooch with the "yelling" the motor was doing...
 
When you say prime the pump do you men like oiling it? The gear that drives the pump was in the pos that it where before so it must be that the gears didnt had any oil ? The pooch was not nice to hear... now im going to take some vaseline on the gears, should i do more?
 
Ya those oil pump gears needed to be packed with vasoline prior to putting back on the oil pump...Unhook the orange ecm wire at the battery and crank the engine over and look for pressure If not you have to remove the cam sensor and try to prime the pump that way with a priming tool attached to a drill..Hopefully once you get back oil pressure everything will quiet down and it will be ok...Be sure to fill the oil filter full of oil before putting it on as that will help with the prime....
 
be sure the gasket you put on is the same thickness! i did the same thing and the gasket was thinner and locked up the oil pump ,it took out the cam sensor and camshaft. it was not pretty,i learned from a big mistake on that one.
 
The sound was not nice, i think i have to remove the cam sensor... It was like the hole engine cut.. Can i try to oil in the gears with lots of vaseline and take off the sparkplug cables so the engine goes round a couple times? or is it stupid?
 
Eww, hopefully you shut it down in time but if she started to screech, something went dry.

Pull the cam sensor and use a prime tool on a drill to prime oil pump. You may have to pack the gears or disconnect upper cooler line and pour oil into it.

At the housing there were some new marks so that could be it, there where no new oil in the housing thou. The engine run for 20-30 sec so the engine could not be hurt in my oppinion. But im sceptic, is it difficult to pull the camsensor? What do you mean to pack the gears? with vaseline?
 
Assembly lube, Vaseline or something. Without some kind of viscous lube on the pump gears it can't create vacuum to pull the oil up.

ok i see, im going to tap out the oil from the engine and drag the engine at the crankshaft to if its ok. If its ok iam going to fill the upper cooler line and pour oil into it, and oil in the gears with vaseline and then run the engine without any spark.
 
You can also gravity feed oil through the turbo feed line..... sorry to add more confusion, just another option.

Everyone on board has great ideas for you, but in your case of hearing a squealing noise that doesn't sound good. Packing the gears with Vaseline is the GM way, but in your situation TurboBuRick is the way to go since this is the way I did when I replaced the timing chain.
  1. Get yourself a Chevy oil primer tool
  2. You need to install an oil pressure gauge not some idiot light that indicates no oil.
  3. VERY IMPORTANT, Mark the cam sensor cap wires of it position or use a permanent marker ink where it is bolted down. Remove the cam sensor cap and make a second mark of the location of the cam sensor window location. If you don't do this you'll have a second problem of not starting the car up.
  4. Place the primer tool inside cam sensor hole and make sure the tool is fitted into the oil pump drive shaft. This site is very informative: http://www.vortexbuicks-etc.com/frontcover.htm
  5. Fill the oil filter until it full, and then screw it back onto it's location
  6. Remove the bottom radiator oil pump hose which feeds the top of the oil pump, and place a small funnel and fill with oil until no more can be fill. Use the drill machine (counter clock rotation, I think) continue to fill the hose with oil using about one quart of oil. Reconnect the hose line back onto the bottom of the radiator.
  7. Now change the rotation of the drill to clockwise and run until you see oil pressure gauge raising.
  8. Remove primer tool, re-install can sensor, remember can sensor window location, and then place sensor cap back onto sensor and remember location and then tighten cam sensor bolt.
  9. If I miss something, I know one of the members will fill it the blank.
 
Ok this is what im doing right now: I have screwd back the housing and filled the gears with lots of vaseline, and then im going to fill the upper cooler line or the turbo line with oil, im not going to have the oilfilter on, when it come out oil from the filter hole i fill the filter with oil and screws it back. Then im going to start the engine with no spark. Then i can see the oilpressure on my oilpressure gauge!

Or i will screw on the crankshaft until the pump has pumped out oil throw the oilfilter hole?

Edit: Im living in sweden and the chevy tool is far far away...

I really appreciate all help from you guys! But this is how im going to do.
 
You can use a long screwdriver too, just cut off the handle and put it in a power drill, make your own tool.
 
This is just my opinion but at this point I would not try to turn that motor over until I pulled the cam sensor and used either a priming tool or a cut off screwdriver to prime the motor...and before that I'd check the end play on the oil pump gears.
 
I would take the pump cover off again, inspect the pump cover for scars - from running pump dry. If any you can lap the cover flat again, using sand paper on a flat glass table or surface plate. or belt sander. Then pack the pump gears with vaseline or white grease.
 
Problem solved!

I did exactly as i wrote, it was little tricky to fill the oil into the turbo oil line, i took a syringe and sprayed into the line until i it camed out from oilfilter. Then i filled the filter and screwd it back and then i filled the line to the turbo full with oil. Then i started the car and the oil pressure were good! :D
