Looking for a cordless drill while I am in Afghanistan. Looking for a cheap drill cause I have 3 at home, but my wife is also overseas and can't send one to me. Lots of internet sites and Ebay listing don't ship to APO addresses. This is making a search more difficult. Not doing major construction. We live in old wooden "cabin". Basically 4 walls and a bunch of beds. Have been here many times and have done a lot of wood work. We live in a different area and is difficult to get tools. Guess my benchmark is driving a 3in drywall screw through a 2x4. Any recommendations or if anyone has and extra drill they wanna sell. Thanks.

i use 18 Volt DeWalt but they are pricey one of the guys has a Ryobi that is beat to ship and still works pretty good.

Pay for what ya get. Get a elcheapo and then get it all the over and then it goes TU. IMO buy a good one and then sell it when you get home. Kinda the way the cookie crumbles when overseas.

Got a Dewalt 18v and a Hitachi 18v kit at home. But no one at home to ship it to me. My neighbors watching my house are out of town and my wife is also out of the country. Just need something that will last me about 6months.

just about any of the cheapos will last 6 months doing light homeowner duty. But i would go with a glorified cheapo like Ryobi.

I agree with Ryobi, I've had my set for 10 years, Used mostly for part time construction and for my home repair/remodel. I've had to replace the batteries once in ten years other than that they have been perfect.

Hey brother, find one at Home Depot/ Walmart/ Harbor Freight/ Sears/ wherever, let me know what you want and I will ship it to you. You can paypal me if you have access to it, or pay me back when you can. Let me know if I can help.

EDIT: also check Amazon. I know for a fact they ship to APO/FPO addresses. ;)
