Are you kidding me? Did they really pull up to the start coordinator expecting him to flag them with his hands?
It can't be! I REALLY hope no one with a drivers license is that stupid. As for how they moved out of the "hole" well, not everyone has to be fast.

When me and the JCC Racing crew go to E-Town and there is an import event, we place bets on which cars are going to stage with their back wheels. Sometimes after the 20th time and the starter is getting really annoyed, he just throws up his hands and let's them go.... Always a treat!

Looked to me like they just pulled up to the tree and thought that was the starting line.

Gotta love it when these guys show up. They come to my home track in droves for test and tune days before the beginning of the season and it's just like this, all day long. Back seats, stereos, and spare tires laying all over the pits as they search for that "elusive" 16 second time slip.

That clip is definitely from Midnight Mayhem. I haven't been to it in well over a year, but I can tell you that this happens a LOT (like 1 in 10 races). So many of these newbies are clueless.

I bet I can go to Friday Night Drags here in AZ this Friday and get at least 20 incidednces of this on tape in one night...

It's never the same ricers either. The ones that came the week before realized their cars were slow and don't show up again...

sometimes the starter just puts his feet across the beams and lets the tree drop...

Yes same up here at New england dragway.

I have seen them line up with rear tires.
The management even handed out a brouchure to all wanna be racers to explain how the Pre stage/stage works.

Still happens..:(
