I thought about "inventing" chome paint when I was about 18- (probably already existed but that was before we had this handy internet really cooking.) I scrapped the idea when I decided that a completely chrome car would be like a big morror and become like an optical illusion on the road and potentially be a hazard if not simply for it's blinding properties... (What the hell do I know...) I'd like to try it on my GN...

I'd like to chrome my back window so all of those idiots with the 4WD trucks and SUV's would loose their retinas from the reflection of those God awful HID's that seem to be aimed exactly at the same level of the inside rear view mirror in my GN.
I can remember way back in the 70's reading about engineering legend Herb Adams running a 77 Cutlass Salon in road racing. The most distinguishing feature of the car was the Chrome Mylar used on the sides. Imagine a WH1 Designers Series only the gray center section was Chrome. Black on the top and bottom. I understand other drivers would comb their hair in the reflection as it sat on the starting grid. I couldn't find any pics of that car but I did find mention of it here on this link IMSAblog: although the author described it as polished aluminum
A huge an beautiful Oldsmobile Cutlass was there, entered by Herb Adams. Its doors were covered with aluminium side panels, very impressive!
