The other day I tested someones alky pump using Alkycontrol test kit. I then went to my car for a comparison. When I turned on the pump it was gushing from the head. If not for testing, I would have never known.

Without a gauge, there is no way on knowing alky pressure is doping. Indicator lights don't mean everything is a-ok. Food for thought.

Seems I'm only getting a couple years out of a pump. :(

Sending it to Julio for inspection. ;)

X2. I ordered the test kit recently just for the heck of it. Tested my pump and the alky was spraying on to the floor. My pump was about four years old. I highly recommend everyone with Alky to get the test kit.

im running the gauge.no more guessing its a great peice and you can monitor and log pressures.

You cant ever have to much checking of any fuel system component. Whether its fuel pump, alcohol pump, air fuel, etc.

Its gets old really quick when ever there is any failure of any kind. being on top of things limits issues. Doesnt mean it eliminates all chances of problems.

Old timer once said to me.. Whenever he got into his Cesna.. always check the magneto before flight :D

I datalog everything I can.. thats just me.. something goes down.. I need a black box to tell me what happened and why. This way whatever caused the problem can be corrected and I can move on. Face it.. there is no warranty of racing engines for this reason.. too many things can go wrong. Best you can do is try and be on top of things. Mechanical parts are always subject to failure. Even the best parts.. look at the Space Shuttle that blew up.. thats the best of the best and still failed. So this car stuff we deal with just be vigilant. Or pull the rod of the turbo and run the car NA.

How much boost is safe.. answer is ZERO. Especially on a car thats 25+ years old. If your on top of your game with maintenance and testing.. your more than likely never to have an issue.
