Hey guys. Something tragic has happened earlier today. My Brother's wife struck a child with her pick-up. She was driving down the road and the kid ran out infront of her. The kid is only 4 years old. Her parents were letting her play in the yard unsupervised when the girl ran into the road. She was airlifted to a hospital with a pediatric ICU. As far as I know she is alive but her brain is swelling. We don't know if she is going to make it or not.

My brother and his wife are taking this very hard. They both know what losing a child feels like. This is my brother who lost his eldest son in a jet ski accident earlier this year. They also lost their other son several years ago in a car accident where his mother was driving so she is pretty tore up over this even though it wasn't her fault. If the kid passes I don't know how she will be able to deal with it (especially being Christmas when it happened).

So please say a prayer for the kids recovery and to help my brother and his wife to deal with what's going on.

Hoping for a Christmas miracle.

Thanks everyone.

It is clearly not her fault. She has to be a basket case.prayers for everybody and handcuffs for the parents of that kid. 4 years old and left unattended And his wife has to mentally pay for it. that sucks. sorry to hear that. hopefully all goes well. god bless

My prayers are with your family and the little girl and her family. I hope god will rain down on both families and create a miracle! Lets not fault either family in this tragic event, children wonder at times and accidents can happen suddenly. Lets just pray for a safe recovery. I'm sure the little ones parents are in need of major support in this tragic time. May god be with both families.

I second that, both sides must feel HORRIBLE right now. I pray God touchs both familys and heals the little one! Daniel Ray

Randy, I'm sorry to hear about that! I'm sure she is pretty upset about it. Prayers sent,I hope God grants a miracle, they've been through enough already

Unfortunate especially at this time of year, hopefully things will work out somehow.

My thoughts and prayers are with both families.

While not as tragic as a car accident, I spent last night (Xmas Eve) with my 7-year-old son in the ER. Turns out he has pneumonia. His fever was out of control and he couldn't breathe. It tore me up seeing him laying there in the hospital bed, barely able to breathe but all he could talk about was coming home to see what Santa left him.

I'm always amazed by and grateful to the people who give up their nights, holidays and weekends to help others. I watched lots of people roll through the ER in those 6 hours, some coming through on stretchers and all I could think about was how lucky (relatively speaking) I was. We were discharged with a laundry list of meds and with my son feeling much better.

Again, I hope the 4-year-old pulls through and that your family can find the strength to deal with the outcome whatever it is.

That's sad! :( Hopefully he was still able to enjoy his Christmas.

I'm sorry to hear about the mis fortune. Both families will be in my thoughts and prayers. God speed my friend

Thanks guys. The girl made it through the night which everybody said was very good news. They say the first 48-72 hours are crucial and making it through that first night is a good sign. This is my brother's first Christmas without both of his sons and his wife is also very messed up over this accident. It was a rough Christmas for them.
