******The Grand National is gaining value quickly... Everything is selling for nearly twice it was a few years ago... Even project cars are selling for over $10k easy..... THERE time has come...in 5 years a mint GN will see a 15% difference in value then a GNX....
Cruzn you mentioned in my thread that a clone is not going to go up in value? Lol. Funny guy you are....hard to assume such BS when I own the only true tribute built.....putting the value quite high... Ever watch the auctions? I am at all of them. Tribute cars are selling 20%-30% of original value. People would rather buy a fully restored tribute car that has everything new then spend thousands on a high mileage original for more money to restore later.....I can't tell u how many Hemi cars and SS cars and Gt500 tributes selling......I have gotten 3 offers to trade a GNX for my tribute plus money...one being a GNX and my car plus $16k.... I wouldn't do it...don't need the headache of restoration receipts and the end result is the same car I own now....
ALSO:
The fact is THE GN and GNX and T all have the same drivetrain so actually the value are different then the old school muscle cars
The old ones are drivetrain specific to a model....to
My GNX will rise in value and being that THERE are no high mile GNXs selling for cheap to "drive and restore"... Those days are gone...... a GNX is rarely put up for sale..my car is a huge advantage for a lot of people looking for one.....
It has been brought to my attention by a few board members as well....
As a buyer at Mecum and Barrett each year as well as watching the market for years and there are many tribute SSs.. Hemi cars ..Gt500 cars selling for high 5 digits....a lot of guys dont want a headache and a car to drive and restore... and just want the look and feel of the car..... Awesome paint and turn key restored tributes are in high demand trust me....
I hope the values keep going up. I don't know why you keep thumping your chest. Your car is NOT a GNX. It's just a really nicely modified Grand National(or Regal). The Serial number designates a GNX, not your ego or wallet ! Clone, tribute, whatever? It's not a GNX, Never was and Never will be..... Try blowing a different tune! the Circus has left town and the parade has gone by !

I for one dont really see prices going up at all. Not sure how you are coming up with this. Selling for 'twice' what it was selling for a few years ago???? Project cars are 'selling for over 10k easy'??? Really???

Yeah i dont see it either, there are 3-4 gns down here driving condition solid and need paint for under 8k. From watching cars down here for the past few years prices have come down a bit, which is weird since this year 87 gns are going to be considered antiques and dont need to pass emissions anymore. I figured the prices will go up but that is not the case, here anyways.
I thought the market was at a low point? Will someone just buy his car please! Wish I could have afforded to buy it when Kash was selling it. I say put it on Jackson Barrett and then we will all know what it is worth.
1. I think this is the wrong forum- should be in the lounge IMO
2. I do not know where you are getting these price comparisons from. Do you have a cite for these references?
3. I acknowledge that the car you have is very nice. However, it's not the real deal. So what, it's still a super nice GN.
4. As others have suggested, why not take her to Barrett or Mecum and see what it's worth? I've seen crappy cars get good money so yours should be at the high end of the money.
Well dont let the Facts get in the way of your opinion .I own 5 cars now only because of the drastic drop in price.I would say it peaked about 05 when i refused to take 20K for my GN which had close to 100k on the ticker .I would be lucky today to get 13 for it .Im sorry but if you follow the board you will see the amazing value of buying a TR now .Back in about 03 the NADA values accually started reversing on a Grand National only to add 2% a year instead of dropping about 3% a year a 5% change for the good .I havent looked lately but I know from being a shopper of sorts there has not been a better time than now to buy any muscle car and never a worse time in my lifetime to sell one...By the way Illl have one up for sale soon and will be lucky to get 8500 for it and 5 years ago it was a 10k car EASY!!
By the way I hope Im wrong and YOU are right! my wallet says Differant
A grand national is modified to be a GNX. A GNX is a modified grand national. My car is a modified GN-- modified to be a GNX with all GNX OEM parts etc.
Yes there r a a lot of GN's selling for a lot more money. I have been asked to find GNs under $20k mint by a few people who can't find any....
And I would not trade my GNX for a real one for any money. The real ones need work and by obvious reasons are not that nice....not worth the $15-20k and my car ...... Look at my car and you would see why...If I wanted a real one I would buy one....I have had 3......... I don't want a $60k car sitting in my garage. If i was going to spend $60k again i wold buy a GTR or S65 or 911 turbo not a 1987 GNX....I bought my car so i would have the best and not be $30k in the hole on the same car.....They are not a big investment anymore.
*****The serial number on a GNX does not ascertain to a GNX. It is a Grand National serial number VIN
It comes up as a 1987 Grand National regal

Just so the terminology is not confused, what do you mean when you say "mint"?
Does this = low miles, or modified perfection, unmodified perfection, or just 100% original or any mile just super clean. What exactly?
I can find nice clean GN's under $20k all day long. Just depends on the criteria.
Nice and clean under $10k that is a different story.
I love how you make claims that there is NO WAY to verify...."less then 100 limiteds left"..just because you havne't PERSONALLY seen them..."only tribute this nice!" Why do you seem to think that EVERY owner of a TB is on THIS board? Or ANY board out there? Why do you INSIST on making these claims that are just crazy???
You FINALLY admitted that you made that whole "less then 100 left" nonsense up...when will you admit that it is IMPOSSIBLE for you to know if there are or are not any other CLONES out there as nice as yours?
Here we go again! Resident car salesmen making claims on a site specific to the car he's selling. I guess we know nothing.
Wrong place to make a thread like this BTW. Also, these type of rediculous claims dont help yoe sell cars on a vehicle specific site. Maybe advertise those claims in a local newspaper and you might snag an uneducated buyer. Then maybe you'll finally vanish from this site for good.
Mint = near stock with almost zero wear. Excellent paint paint and good history. Generally low mile cars fit that criteria yet I have seen mint 100k GNs too. That sold close to $20k recently
Idk. Do u know of any tributes around other then mine that r 100% exact! Close to it? Nope there are none.
What does 1/4 mile have to do with anything? This is 2011 not 1987....A Lexus sedan runs fast then a stock GNX today.....But the car ran a 13.30@105 the only time I took it. For a car show in Palm Beach at the track.
Got a deposit at 7pm. $31k. I will post the actual pic of cashier check when it arrives from the bank they r financing with....
The guy flew in from Jacksonville. He owns a GNX.... Was in awe of the car... It was referred ...didnt see it on here. The member who referred my car will get $500
I asked John earlier in the day to remove all the threads on the car.. I don't want to answer the phone and pm anybody back about the car. i knew the first person who saw the car would buy it... He was the first person outside of a dealer to see it... deposit has been giving.
