 Hey guys I belive my coil is going out so i got a new one but i havent put it in yet but i did a OHM test on my old coil and here are the readings i got i just went from 4-1/2-5/6-3/ those are the studs i went across and this is what i got also i was on the 20K Scale on the meter:

4-1: 12.40 OHMS
2-5: 12.03 OHMS
6-3: 12.13 OHMS

It dosent seem out of range but the numbers are a little bit out of range so let me know i really hope its not a coil modle. Thanks

I don't remember the resistance values, someone can help you with that. Even if the resistance is good, the coil can still be bad. Why do you think the coil is going out?

The reasion im thinking it, is because the car will start up fine and idel alright but when i get moving and press on the gas it just starts back fireing tho the exhasut and just dosent build boost or it dosent run worth a ****, my map sensor is good and my MAF is good and the coil is stock so im just thinkin it. Dont know what else it could be?

Coil looks ok. 13.5K is the max
1. What is your voltage under load?
2. TPS tested for flat/dead spots?
3. Fuel pump and pressure under boost ok?
4. What is you MAF reading at idle and what is it at WOT?

Fuel press. is 46 PSI Vac line off, TPS is brand new and tested good, Maf is good. I took my stock coil off disconeted it and sanded on the termenals a little bit and put it back on and ran pretty good, it pretty must stoped the backfireing so im thinking its the coil and im going to go with a accel i think. Unless you can tell me if there is somthing different. What i have found out tho after i have been driving for a wile like around town and i go and put it in park it will vary in RPM about 500-800 and just hunt around in that area. I have a turbo tweek chip. Aslo i have a Walbro fuel pump and hot wire kit, i got some MAF cleaner and im going to clean my MAF and see if that stops the RPM hunting.

Also i forgot to add that my Fuel press. i cant read wile under boost or driving i just have a press gauge that taps in and the thing isent long enugh to read it.

Carefully remove the IAC motor and clean it, then clean the seat in the TB, reset the IAC and TPS.

Alright were is the IAC on this car? Also how do you reset the TPS and IAC? What should i use to clean it i have MAF cleaner? Thanks

IAC location.

Use some carb cleaner. DO NOT push/force the plunger in after you take it out. You may break something. I use a rag soaked in some carb cleaner to clean the seat in the TB. Be sure to spray some carb cleaner in the IAC mounting hole.

Spary the spring and plunger of the IAC and well and make sure it is clean prior to re-install.

Ok this is off the subject but I have to find out Jerryl where did you get that drivers side breather....I need something like that so my MAF pipe will not be wedged against my breather..

I have seen these at local parts stores. It came with the car but I would not recommend it. It is too tall and does not fit tight on the filler tube.
