i have the engine out of my gn and am thinking about upgrading.
this is my current combo. this is gay but i took it out to powdercoat parts and repaint engine and repaint frame around engine and overall detail under the hood.

thdp
3" exhaust no cat
adj. fpr
red armstrong 93 chip
cold air k&n setup
17 lbs boost
otherwise stock 114k car with G80rearend and internally perfect engine.

thinking about

ta-61
009's
head porting (just cleanup)
dutweiller neck
comp valvesprings on stock cam
regasket engine

should i?
replace head bolts with factory or arp studs or bolts?
match weigh pistons and rods?
valvesprings? the car ran fine before
dut neck worth it?
ta 61 on stock torque converter?
009's enough injector?
power gains with ta61 and injectors and neck with 93 octane?
can i turn the boost up or must i add race fuel?

this car isn't raced and its a t top car with a good tranny(it seems).
i just zoom around on country roads with it. just want street speed!!!!!!!
should i just replace the worn out turbo center section instead?
I'm not looking for anyone's opinion on what kind of TR owner i am or what i do with my car. And don't say i don't know what a fast car is or i like hacking up cars because i just got done reading that on the hurst quarter stick thread.

I like the MSD balanced inj from precision. 009s didn't work too well for me. I'd also recommend a nice PTe52 turbo.

keep the head bolts (new ones), go with a TH downpipe, check the headers for cracks, change to fresh valve springs.

(FYI, make sure you clean VERY thoroughly after powdercoating the parts. it can affect the sealing too, lightly sand the mating surfaces).
