With ARP Thread Sealer as well as Molly lube, What should they be torqued at ARP says 65.....but have seen alot of people posting that they torqued at 85 ft lbs......int what is the correct torque spec's with cometics and arp rod bolts with molly lube.....thks in advance for all replies and inputs.....

Torque them to the ARP specs. But do not use the ARP thread sealer it leaks do a search on it. Use a different sealer, just about any non-hardening RTV will work. Frank

already assembled

I used the ARP Thread Sealer.......fingers crossed it will be good enough.....only time will tell......thanks Frank.........why do alot of people post that they torque'd to to 85 lb's?

The rod bolts shouldn't have bearing on the HG's  Typo?? If you meant ARP head bolts then I'm not sure of the specs. I used Cometics and ARP head studs using Loctite 567 sealant ( p and p'd irons ) and I torqued them to 85 after 6 or 7 torque cycles with moly lube. But I used the studs, not the bolts.

Studs and bolts take different torques. Also different specs if you use moly lube or oil on the bolts or nuts. Read the directions and torque to there specs for what your using. Frank
