Does anybody know the "Dash" size or Metric size for the following o-rings?

Oil cooler adapter to front cover

Fuel feed line to fuel rail

Fuel return line to FPR

Seems like these three O-rings are always hard to find when you need them.

If we can identify these o-rings by size, it will be easy to order them in quantity from McMaster Carr. This will make a great "Sticky".

Feel free to add any other O-rings to this list. I'll update my post with any part numbers I can find.

Great question. Also, what material is best? I would guess Viton should be sufficient.

The bad part about o-rings is they don't really have a 'dash size', they have an ID and OD and you have to do math to figure out the thickness you desire.

When I wanted a meatier cooler adapter o-ring it took 4 or 5 tries to get the exact one I wanted. When I finally figured it out, I bought something like 50 of them so I wouldn't have to go through it again. I'll see if I can find my notes. With any luck I circled the ones that fit the best.

Earl,

That's what I'm talkin bout!! Lets compile a list of the parts we use on a regular basis and post a sticky for everybody to utilize.

Those are the sizes I install some weeks back. No leaks

Thanks for the help!!

Where did you get them? Any alternate source is good. I'll add it to the list.

I buy stuff like this in bulk because I can usually get a 100 for the price of 2 or 3.

this will be a great thread! We need:
fuel rail feed(Viton)
fuel reg (Viton)
fuel filter inlet(Viton)
fuel filter outlet(Viton)
for starters

All the normal part house's have Dorman. However you are right about price. Not going to beat McMaster Carr.Hell the part house's may get them from McMaster Carr

Richard Clark would be the guy that has all of the sizes written down

Bryan

Steve, The fuel filter inlet and outlet O-rings are the same as the fuel feed at the rail -011

We can add the cam sensor o-ring any others?

Dave,

I went out and checked in my garage to see what I have been using. Originally I had taken original used o-rings to work and matched them up with what I had there. here is what I came up with:

Fuel feed line o-ring for the inlet to the fuel rail: M83248-1-903 This should be the same o-ring for the fuel filter also.

Fuel return line o-ring for the return line from the regulator: M83248-1-902

Oil line o-ring for the oil lines where they go into the adapter on the front cover: M83248-1-905

Oil cooler adapter o-ring: M83248-1-145.

I hope this helps

Neal
