Im going to do a compression test on my 3.8 and wanted to get some opinions and how you guys do it. Should the motor be warm or cold? Throttle open or closed? Just looking to see f all cylinders are close in compression.
Thanks Dan

Engine warm and throttle as wide open as possible. This will give you the most consistent readings so you know if there's an issue.;)

What Charlie said, +1. Also, have all of the plugs out when you do this, and disconnect the connector from the coil pack module. That will prevent the coils from sparking and the ECM from injecting fuel.
