confirmation on bad cam sensor

Too keep it short I believe I have a bad cam sensor. Before I go throwing parts at it id like to make sure that is the issue. Car drives fine around town but as soon as you drive on the highway for a bit then go back to around town driving the car just feels sluggish and hesitant. It eventually goes away, but as of right now its limiting where I drive the vehicle.

thats not a very conclusive test of the cam sensor. when it starts driving poorly, unplug the sensor with the engine running and see if the symptom changes.

(the engine will not restart with the sensor disconnected, so be careful where you drive it this way)

scantool data and trouble codes will help diagnosis.
