Just a quick note to everyone that after months and months of looking, fellow TB.com board member BGN8711 aka Brian finally "re"-realized his dream of TR ownership effective last night. As some of you might recall, Brian was the former owner of a beautiful '86 Chestnut T with gold/chestnut interior, and after just 4 months someone unlawfully relieved him of ownership of it despite the car having been alarmed, etc. Brian had saved his money for years and put quite a but of work into that car, and I'll always remember that dark day when he called to tell me his chestnut T had been stolen that afternoon. Unfortunately, our hopes that the perp might inadvertently blow the car up and end up by the side of the freeway were never realized, and the vehicle was never recovered. During his quest for a replacement TR, Brian and I went on a number of TR fact-finding missions, including one memorable 3 AM high-speed banzai run up to Solvang on just two hours sleep.

Last night that all changed, as Brian and his lovely GF Lusha picked up his beautiful white unmolested '87 Limited from south OC and drove it to its new home. Brian and Lusha stopped by our house to show it off to my wife and son, then headed off to pick up his mom and after that to his grandparents house. I'm sure Gary will recognize it as it is his old car from a few years ago, and it still rides and drives beautifully. This is a car I would have purchased years ago, but after seeing how happy and excited Brian was last night, it couldn't have gone to a better home. Congrats, dude!

Very nice. Hope to see it at a get together soon.
Congrats.

Brian:
Congratulations, I am happy for you, see you at DD's & the upcoming shows.

NOW GO SPEND A FEW HUNDRED AND GET A LOW-JACK SYSTEM ON IT SO IF GOD FORBID IT HAPPENS AGAIN YOU CAN ATLEAST FIND IT HOPEFULLY BEFORE THE WRENCHES GET TO IT.

CONGRATS ON THE T!

Sorry to hear about that

But happy to hear you got another one. Post some pics and let us see, let us see, if not, hope to see him at the Bobs on the 9th

Thank you...

To Morgan and to everyone else for showing their support. I can't possibly say enough about Morgan and how great of a person he really is. The only reason it's possible for me to own this car is the fact that I have him to take me under his wing and help me wrench on this thing. He has driven up to Solvang with me at 3 in the morning as well as Long Beach, Mission Viejo three times and the list goes on and on. Not only is he a great enthusiast for the buick community, but a great friend and an all around great guy. When my car was stolen he invited me to all the buick get togethers, let me come help work on his car and learn, as well as letting me drive his 10 second grand national around. Not only has he helped me but I know there are countless other buick owners who owe him gratitude. Neal has also been a great help, he called me up just to congratulate me and offer any help. Both of them are stand up guys and I THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING! I am taking precautions to keep this one in my posession as I absolutely love it. Can't wait to see everyone out at the track, and thanks again to Morgan, his lovely family and to Neal.

Thanks you guys,
Brian

I am one of the other countless Buick owners that not only owe but could never re-pay Morgan and Neal for all of their advice and assistance. They are truly the pillars of the Southwestern Buick community. And God Bless their better halves for allowing them the time to help the Buick community.

Wow

I heard Neal was an OK guy, but the truth comes out!
now he's gonna get a fat head from all this
I haven't met Morgan, but if he associates with Neal,
well you get the idea........
I'm glad to hear we support others in our community.
and congrats on the new ride Brian !

Gary I couldn't have put it any better myself. As I said I can't possibly say enough about Morgan and Neal but they truly are "pillars" of the Buick community. Also, thank you Gary for taking such good care of the car and giving us all the information before the purchase. One of the biggest incentives for the car was the fact that you owned it and your reputation for being so meticulous about maintaning your vehicles helped seal the deal. I will get pics up asap and thank you everyone for posting in this thread I appreciate it very much! I will be popping up at various different car events so come give me a holler.

thank you,
Brian

Brian,Gary, Lee,

Thanks for the kind words. I try to help out where I can. Most of you know that my wife and I bought a new house about a year ago and for the first 5 months or so I didn't even have a garage. This put me out of the car game for some time as did the house fix up projects. Most of that stuff is out of the way now so I'm looking forward to being more active in the Buick community again. Congrats once again on your new car Brian I hope you have as much fun with it as I've had with mine and meet as many good folks as I have over the years.

Neal
