Just measured 1st wire w / multimeter Magnecor 10mm. very few miles but they sat for a while 1st wire 3.85? continuity should be 0- .05 in ohms correct? Time for new wires?

If I remember correctly, and correct me if I'm correct, standard plug wires usually measure at 15,000 ohms per foot. The MSD 8.5 Super Conductor wires usually measure at 40-50 ohms per foot. Sorry, that's all I know.

I believe the Magnacor have higher resistance compared to some others:smile:.Ultra low resistance is not always the best,Limgenfelter ,Cottons and many others like those wires;)

They should all be about the same. Can't remember what "the same" is but if one is way out of line then replace it.

That's a normal reading 3.85K for a Magnecore wire.

Measure them all and see if any are substantially higher.

The ohms test only can tell you if you have a bad one.

The real resistance is in the air gap in the plug.

Try measuring that on the ohms scale.:p
