I don't believe that delay relay has worked since ive owned the car the fan has never stayed on when I shut the car off so I guess its just there for looks

You should be glad it didn’t work. I would just wrap the empty relay socket with some electrical tape so nothing gets in there and shorts out.

so I switched the hi low relays and it stayed off for a second and came back on so don't think its the relays
guess its one of those coolant sensors

Try unplugging these one at a time. Coolant switch under throttle cable area and pressure switch on a/c.

ok it was the coolant sensor under the throttle cable
I believe that one is the high temp override the expensive one

Just unplug it for now. I wouldn’t bother replacing it because it only triggers the fan at some crazy temp like 220. If you want to replace it I would find one with a lower turn on temp. Should be able to find one that is the same physical size that comes on around 195.

yeah maybe a 80's chevy 308 or something have to check around
