What is everys coolant temp in the summer during city driving. Stop go stop go?

Today I say my temp gauge go to 200 on the vdo gauge that I have. But I also noticed that DS reads 10 degrees less. Which one should I believe?

I wouldn't worry too much about 200*.....many of these cars came with 190* thermostats...VDO gauges are known to read high....mine is off by at least 10* (compared to t-link)

sm - never seen higher than 175, stop and go, ac on, 96 out

hth

well this was sitting in my garage and looking at the temps.
91 yesterday and very humid in FLA.

200 was reached will city driving. stop go, stop go.

My car responds BADLY to high temps....as the temps go up oil pressure drops, when it hits 200-205 on the vdo gauge...190-195 on the scanmaster...well my oil pressure will drop below what it is supposed to be, when HOT....well i fixed all coolant problems with the ramchargers fan, i believe the stock fan is fine for some tr's but with a 160 degree thermostat and a front mount...well that stock fan is USELESS...now i can keep the temps @160 @ idle in 100 degree temps in my garage.

Mine reads around 175-180 in hot weather...I do have Dual-Spal fans too though...Now with the AC on for some reason the temps start to climb!?!?! I think it's the wiring that the previous owner did....It may cut the fans off when from the factory they should speed up!

mine is almost always at 160 exactly or lower...i have a 160 thermo and the coolant fan always running on high whenever i run the car...this is even in 100 degree heat and a/c on

Do you have a transmission cooler mounted in the front of the car on the condensor?
