Cost to rebuild turbo

I see alot of turbos for sale that need rebuilt.What would it cost,and who rebuilds them?

I paid 650.00 for mine about 2 years ago and it runs like a champ! If I had the extra cash back then I'll probably would have went with a new and better one. But my TE44 is good to go, no complaints.

PTE will rebuild their own. How much it costs depends on what's wrong with it. If all it need is bearings and seals < $200. I just sent one back that needed bearings, seals, exhaust wheel, exhaust housing, center section and compressor housing. $480 not bad when you consider it's almost brand new now

Depends on what's wrong with it. They will call you with a quote before any work begins.

New in some cases > $1200 so maybe not so much.

Full Throttle sells them new for $600!!!!!

I think you recommended them if I recall correctly. They are out of Chesapeake. And yes, it practically needed a lot of new parts. Remember the picture?

I am sorry about that,I don't use them anymore cause there stuff doesnt hold up long enough. But back then a new TE44 was $959ish bow it's $600.

i was quoted $550 to rebuild my old TE62 that needed bearings, seals, shaft, and exhaust wheel. i ended up just buying a new TE67 for a few hundy more.

I was told $400. Buy a new turbo and sell your existing for $150-200.
