CPT66BB question

I've got one and I'm in the process of building the engine. I saw a post on a 67 turbo saying it didn't make much noise and wonderd if the 66 will sound whistle or be quiet. I know, like it matters. I just like the noise:biggrin:

Oops my bad, I figured a turbo question would go in the turbo forum. That's were I saw the post on the quiet 67. You could just tell me how your 66 sounds and the post can be delted

Bison and myself run the same 66 turbo. Mine whistles pretty good at anything over 1psi, and with open exhaust it borders on comical....
I would not pick a turbo by whistle meter, but your needs and goals.

I just wondered. My car ran 10's with a quiet tubo and it didn't bother me a bit. If this one didn't make noise I sure wouldn't get rid of it for one that did. I was just hoping it would make some noise as an added bonus

I run a CPT61BB and it pretty loud, but i have a Ext gate that that is dumping to the floor...

I heard one once a guy had in ky..he didnt seem to know alot about the car..but he thought it was in the 60's..now this was 10 years ago or so..it whistled at idle almost like a supercharger..sounded awesome..wish I knew of a turbo that sounded like this one at idle & ran good too..
