Dave here AGAIN, with the 85 GN. Heres my question: Got car to run but its running real rough......idles good, but will only accel. if your easy on the gas. Lots of black smoke.... I tried unplugging the cam sensor and car drove exactly the same. I then tried unplugging the crank sensor and the car dies right now. I have changed every sensor on the car...... My crank sensor is just barely rubbing on one side. This was new about 2 months ago, car has not ran right......I think its getting there...... Can the crank sensor be bad allready??????? Tired of throwing money at it!!!!! Thanks again, Dave

Well, even if the crank sensor isn't the problem, if it is rubbing, it's going to become a problem. Adjust it so that it isn't rubbing, and if it has been doing it for a while, then I would replace it. Then, if it is still running rough, go from there. Do you have any kind of scan tool? Are you getting any codes?

I have a t-link, still have a problem with blms@147 at idle, cant find any vac/exhaust leaks. Brand new coil/moduale, starting to wonder if one of them is bad.... Is the crank sensor working correctly??? I assume it is, if it is getting spark/fuel??? I have tried almost everything That I can think of.......Thanks for the reply...Dave

Dave,

Just taking a stab at this as I do not remember the history ..........
Did you by chance verify the chip and MAF?

Yes, brand new factory chip and maf. Could this be an internal engine problem, valve, lifter????? Sounds smooth at idle ..... cant figure it out. Thanks, Dave
