Crank sensor

So I found that my crank sensor has been rubbing the reluctor wheel making the car run like shit. So I readjusted it making sure that it has the proper clearance .025 but it still runs like shit. Are these sensors considered a throw away if they have made contact with the ring?

Yes, most of the time it trashes the crank sensor.

Try to find the cause of the initial problem, or you may be replacing it again?

thanks for the imput I believe I simply did not tighten it to the proper spec. found... thirty inch pounds does this sound right?
