crate motor or rebuild

Its time for a short block,cant decide between crate/rebuild
Has any one bought a short block from Grooms or any other
engine builder and where you happy?
Whats the weakest link in the LC2??
PT67 (25-27psi)
PTE FM
3" ATR DP / Tial 38mm WG
60 lbs / double pumper
ported heads
9.5 vigilante
110 octane all the time
Am I crazy for running this setup on stock block/internals??
How much $ should I expect to pay for the right motor??

Hi Chris

What do ya know my names Chris to an as a matter of fact my motor is getting rebuilt right now!!!!!!!!! Cost all depends on what ya want in the motor.. Time you get good pistons an a girdle an ported heads "in which in this case you got a fm an a 67 so you need'em" you are already @ 2G. On my motor I did this an it was a lil over $4000.00.. But all this doesn't matter unless you have a good builder an he's got a good machine shop.. IMO the weakest link is the timing chain!!!
