Crossmemebr 200r to TH400 Odd Problem

sold a stock cross memeber that was modded with the bolt holes slotted to fit the TH400 mount in my TR. buyer tells me the actual tab for the mount is off about an 1" - 1 1/2"when he tried to install his 200R . I'm just wondering how this could be . Tab should be in the exact same place for both transmissions . Very odd .

I'm betting that it's to far foward? If that's the case he's got a 3 speed frame and doesn't have the rear pad for the 4 speed crossmember.

X2^^, 78-83 Frames don't have the extension for the 2004R Crossmember to bolt up.
If that's what He has, He'll need one of these.

as far as I know it's a 87 GN .
