D/S Power Window Switch Question

My driver side pw switch recently broke. I ordered a new one from GM & what I got was just the 2 toggles (or whatever you wanna call 'em).I don't have the door panel off yet & want to be sure I've got the right parts so this job doesn't take more than about a half hour (instead of 2 days). I didn't think from past experience that the switches & bezel were seperable. Would somebody please give me the real scoop?

Sounds like the right part.Just pull the lower panel,then the upper and replace the switch.BTW,why'd you buy a replacement?

the tab/lever/toggle piece for the ds window broke off......nuthin' left to run the window up-n-down. What else could've been done to fix it?

The reason I ask is because recently my switch stopped working on the driver's door and it turned out to be the wiring inside the door at the door/rubber boot junction had a break in it.The switch was worn internally,but the power wire was the culprit.
You *could* have epoxied the toggle back on,but that would look chintzy.You made the right move.
