Oh well...I'm sure it won't be the last loss.
Today I pulled out the intercooler and did the cleanup on it, dropped in a 160* T-stat and put on the HD Kirban's intercooler hoses.
Other than this, I've so far done the other typical maintenance (plugs/wires, oil, fuel filter, vacuum hoses, )
Tonight I had a 1st gen Lighting follow me further out on Rt. 37. I know the truck was heavily modded (big cam, blower, etc.), but I figured I could hold him off a bit. I launched the car nice (flash 1-2 psi, release brake to full throttle), squeaked out of the hole with an instant 1/2 car. Scratched 2nd, turned into 1-1 1/2 cars. I hit 3rd (D) and hear him coming. Ran up to about 85-90 and he was a car out on me.
I'll just keep plugging along. Next plan is a Racetronix pump, 237 regulator and a chip (undecided). After that I'm thinking an adjustable wastegate actuator and definitely some gauges.
I would have crushed this truck with the old combo in the 'Stang, I need to get the Regal there too.
