Kimbo is/was a good street fighter and i would say a nice guy from seeing him on the ultimate fighter but he's not a mma fighter and he gave it his best shot and he deserves respect for that.

Kimbo is only 36 so i wouldn't exactly call him old and blame it on his legs.

He didn't seem to react any differently than any other fighter when they get kicked in the legs, i'm sure it hurts no matter the age.

I remember back when the UFC first started there was a big guy in his 20's from Alaska can't remember his name but he was somewhere around 6'7 320 lbs and he was fighting a smaller guy from Brazil and the little guy moved around the cage and kicked him so many times in the legs until he fell down and couldn't get up then he jumped on top of him and pounded until the fight was stopped.

props to any one who gets in to the cage to fight, well except for josh (the actor/eye poker) koscheck, at least kimbo tried to fight.

I guess many of you don't know how Kimbo got started "fighting." In Jail first then on to Miami...

He worked for some porno boys down in FL and was their bodygaurd... Pimping and enforcing... Well they set up all these fights when local hoodlums and bet on them. Yea he won all of them but street fighting and mma is two different things...

He had one fight with a previous mma dude and got his azz whipped their too, it is on the net...

I don't respect where he came from. He was a THUG and thought he was Tyson. I was glad to see him get his azz beat:biggrin:

Kimbo is a good street fighter. but mma is not about street fighting..he has good strickes and all, but thats all. once he is on the floor..hes done too slow..but i give him proops for trying...even tho with that fight he made more $ that some of us will ever see,,,

I doubt that Kimbo feels like he's 72 and he has grown up as a fighter outside his home.

There are many of his street fight videos on youtube and none that i watched show him taking any kicks to his legs that would cause any damage before entering the mma.

The comment about his age was to point out that although that is not young in the sport of the mma. He has only been fighting in the mma for 3 years and if his legs are shot from that short of time,he probably had issues with them before this.

the whole world just realized what everyone in mass has always known about kimbo.........google sean gannon vs. kimbo slice. honestly tho, hes improved alot, the kid he fought, matt matrione is a former professional football player. thats a serious athlete. he was in a few tight subs and he never quit, and he seems like a genuinely nice guy. doubt he will be back in the ufc but hes a tough guy for sure and theres plenty of good/winnable fights for him in other promotions.

im not so sure hes a good street fighter. i mean he has no ground game what so ever and all his internet fights are under a modified boxing set of rules. looks like if hes a legit street brawler hed at least know how to get up when he gets downed.
