The dash pad on my 87 has a small, bout 2 inch long "separation" on what seems to be the factory seam facing the windshield.Does anyone have any ideas on a strong glue/epoxy that can be applied to the underside of the skin to hold it down on the padding that can withstand the sun beating on it for another 20+yrs?.Seems like alot of work to replace the entire pad considering it's not cracked, checked or faded.

dash

I used carpenters glue, with some books, board to press up against it.cleans up with water.so far so good (ten years)good luck

Did similar job w/ 69 camaro pad but used contact cement, smelled great:eek: but was a pain to line up.Will try the wood glue out this spring when interior is up on the to-do list.Thanks...

That is under stress so any glue job will be a temporary fix. New dash time is coming soon.
