Anyone know how to contact Tial Sport as they do not list a phone no. or e-mail contact.

Diaphram came loose in a new wastegate which results in no boost.

Maybe just be best to go back with my old reliable HKS!:D

Thanks Patrick, but I need to talk to a real person so I can get this thing working again.

Since it never worked properly from new, I would like to have a "discussion" with someone from the company. If not possible, my HKS will be the better solution for me.:)

I have no idea how it came loose?

Since it was been installed a couple months ago, new from the box, the car never could make over 19 psi boost. This past weekend at a 2-day event, boost kept getting lower and it was then "maxed" at 14 psi?

Checking for the problem the next day, we found the pressure hose to the top of the gate was leaking. Removed and dis-assembled the WG, and found the diaphram was separated from the crimp.

Did finally locate a local dist. for Tial, and he has ordered a new part.

Guess my frustration is that the car never performed after installing the Tial, and never thought a new part would be the problem. Hard to be competitive in the classes I run with only 14 psi, screwed me up in more than one race event this season.

the crimp? are you refering to where the diaphram sits on the bottom half of the top or the bottom of the spring cup?

The "crimp" is where the diaphram is held with the 2-piece cup, not where it sits in the machined groove of the housing.

The diaphram seems deformed as it does not even fit exactally right in the groove? By that I mean it is like the diameter on the rubber piece is slightly larger that the machined groove.

When the local dist. gets the ordered new cup/diaphram part, I will take everything to him for examination and re-assembly.

interesting, would you mind sending it to me instead? (i'll fix it for free and send it back to you so you can sell it/do whatever you like)
also what is the serial # on the gate? i want to see who assembled it

The number on it is: S08050141.

Sure, be glad to send it to you, send me the address and will 2nd day it today!:)

I know LOTS of guys using the Tial gate, and all of them are happy with the way it performs. Guess since I could not find a contact, my frustration level went way up, sorry.

I do appreciate your help, thanks.:)

It's great to see a vendor step up to the plate and take care of a problem. My next wastegate will be a Tial.

I always liked my Tial wastegate that is on my bike. i couldnt be more happy.

Tial user here and they do perform great but I don't get why you guys have only a fax number and not a phone number on the site??

What about the leaded gas issues, are all the gates made leaded gas durable now??

If memory serves me correct, I think only the 38mm gate has the option for use with or without leaded race gas. The others should be ok for use with leaded race gas.

phone number is not listed on the site because we are on the phone 24/7 as it is (only have 3 lines), we encourage e-mails so we do not miss any questions/problems/have you on hold for 30 min at a time

the black valve (non leaded) is only standard on the F38 wastegate, this was done as cost savings for the buyer, if you want the race valve, you have to ask for it at time of purchase

correct, and just to clear things up, the race valve will be fine with unleaded fuel - i know some of you had asked me that though PM's
