Drove my car around this weekend and the lead proof sensor is still very active, very good cross counts. For the money so far it is very well worth $26 especially if you run race fuel. Keep us updated on them spark plugs. I just put new ac's in mine so i am going to run them a while longer but if those iridium plugs test out good i'm game.............................................................Bob:)

Can you use this o2 with pump gas. I drive my car every day and I have not gone to the track yet. My o2 is questionable right now, but in about a mouth I plan on going to the track and putting some race gas in her and getting some times. After that I will not want to change the o2, only if I have to.

I would say yes. i took a bosch o2 out that was in my car about 60 miles total and it was junk. The trash can it went. For $26 it is worth a try. the bosch o2 is like $30 and i think i paid $35 for an ac. if you get a denso give us some feedback. If they will live on leaded fuel i'm sure they will have no problem with unleaded....Bob

Here is an interesting update on the Denso O2 sensor. So far I am VERY impressed and will only use them from now on!

Couple more trips to the track since last post and it is doing great, still valid readings which have confirmed with other data and DS.

A local car we were tuning, with almost my same build, was there. We wanted O2 readings with the DS data. So I installed a new AC Delco O2 and it fouled or gave erratic readings on the first run? Both cars run 116 octane gas only.

Will give further updates as it gets more use.

This sounds good, I get about 8 passes on an AC O2 with 110- hope to try one this spring. Any difference in idle or drive quality? I tried a Bosch one time and I was not happy with the way the car drove.

For those interested in 4 wire heated version compatible with Casper's 4 wire O2 kit.:

Denso P/N 234-4018

equivalent to AC DELCO P/N AFS 109
(forward sensor for 1998 Grand Prix 3800 V6 VIN 1)

Thanks for posting, Steve!

Exactly what a lot of us use!!

No need for any more UN-heated 02 sensors, ever, thankfully!!

:) :) :)

Were is everyone ordering the O2's from. I went to SPARKPLUGS.COM but the DENSO # is invalid. Then I tryed DENSOAFTERMARKET.COM but could not find were to order at.???

Any updates on how these are holding up?I have one as well and looking to see how far they will go with straight c16.

any more updates this sounds awesome... Even the toluene mix takes out the ac 02 faster. I wonder if this one would prolong also ???

Can you re-gap iridium plugs? the smallest they're gapped at is .045

Regarding the new sensor !!
I also spent the day at the track, took 3 runs on 116 octane and drove home. Have put another 100 miles around town on a refill of 110 (all leaded). Car seems to like the new o2 sensor...
So do I.. This seems to be the ticket...

I have ran 45 gallons of av gas with my single wire denso 02. The first 30 gallons i mixed 50/50 the last 15 gallons i have ran straight. I have been driving my car everywhere and have been doing alot of street racing and hard take off's from stop lights. The 02 still has good readings i would have fouled 3 or 4 ac delco's by now. I have tried lots of different 02 sensors and none of them even compare to the denso. Hope this helps.
