Are there any turbo Buick cars that have leather or vinyl door panels? Specifically the upper portion. Some one did a poor leather covering on my door panels. I peeled back a corner to look underneath it. Looks like it was vinyl or leather. Maybe there are two layers of bad upholstery.

A year or two back, I found a couple cheap upper door panels labeled 'G-Body' at a swap meet. I thought I had a bonanza as there is LITTLE Regal stuff at swap meets, and It looked like they'd match the interior in my project

They were pleated vinyl, had some plastic chrome piping, and a very different pull strap. When I got them home they were a perfect match/fit for the shape and contour of the Regal uppers but were a bad color match. Long story short I could have used and maybe redyed in a Regal color to match.... but they turned out to be from a Monte SS. So maybe that's what you have or what was used for a core for yours?

I've also seen some leather kits that have matching uppers and sail panels in back and wondered if they were leather or a close vinyl match substitute.

Oh and early NA Regal's had vinyl upholstery or a combination of vinyl & cloth. .That's my 2 cents.

Not shure but got mine done this way.

dwall. Got any pics?
tbone. Looks cool. Guess I like anything that is different. Getting board of the same GN/ttype interior. My new car has an interior from a Cadillac. Seats and center console is awesome but they did a half ass job covering everything with leather.......or maybe its vinyl. I may be able to bring the upper portion to an upholsterer and get them to put some pleats in it. Assume you had an upholsterer do your panel.

I like the two tone. Think I'll do the carpet at the bottom in black.

Ryan,
I will have to take some pics when I get the chance. I still have the Monte panels (wouldn't you know?) and I have some early Regal panels & seats someplace. I think they are beige I guess. The light color panels could be dyed - I re-dyed the SEM shadow blue on some armrests. I did a thorough prep elbow grease style followed by SEM prep etc. The color took real well until something metal cut/scratched thru the color. Easy fix tho - a quick shot of SEM and it was all good.
The bottom panels in GN's are black on gray - two tone so why not in other color Regal's? I like! As far as vinyl parts I think it works with a leather interior but I still like cloth the best. 'Oldphart syndrome' strikes again!

Love the SEM paint. It's a perfect match. Sucks that I live in Hawaii. So difficult to get aerosol paint.
