I was "attempting" to install my transgo non-lockup valve today and for some reason, I do not feel like I pulled the correct one out. I do not see any other valves I can remove with the snap ring. Do I have to remove something else to get to it? In the pictures, the one I removed is on the left, and the new transgo nonlocking valve is on the right. Also, when I finally do have the correct one, how does that little pin just sit? It doesnt look like it sits snug anywhere?

You pulled the wrong one  You pulled the pressure regulator and boost valves. The lockup valve is on the other side of the pump where the lockup solenoid plugs in. :)

Please tell me I can just put everything back for the boost valve.:frown: I have about had it on my luck with this car. Ready to give up. Yet another delayed summer.

Take some grease or vaseline and fill the end where the pin goes. Then stick in the middle. Should hold it in the center. Hardest part about the whole job is getting the snap ring in. Put the l/u solenoid back in the same spot. Very simple messy job!

Just out of curiosity, why did they use that little pin in that big opening? Why couldnt they just use a solid metal piece as long as the little pin but as big as the opening so it stays put in there. Is there something I just don't get?

Scott you removed the PR regulator. Do you have a diagram of how it goes back together? The way you have it laid out is not correct.

Yes I found this online after an hour of searching. Looks like I had that one part upside down. The Pressure regulator is exactly how I removed it. That I do remember. And it looks like the pic confirms it.
